Ed Sheeran has played second banana on shows, including serving as Taylor Swift's opening act. Now his own show is coming to North America.

Ed Sheeran announced the initial dates for his upcoming headlining tour. He will be promoting his upcoming album X, pronounced "multiply," which is due out on June 23.

The tour kicks off on August 22 in Seattle, Washington and will run through September 18. More dates are expected to be announced soon. Tickets go on sale April 25 at EdSheeran.com.
