Tim Burton’s Dumbo movie hasn‘t gotten off to a great start, with Will Smith joining and then exiting the project within weeks. Since then, we haven’t heard much about the movie, which has been gestating for a while, but now the cast is looking to acquire another big name: that of Eva Green, star of Penny Dreadful and of Burton’s latest film Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.

Deadline reports that Green is in talks for one of three main adult roles in the film. The article doesn’t say which, and it’s not clear whether these are human roles or voiceover — Green could play a regular woman character or she could be the voice of Dumbo’s mother, who is an elephant. There’s really no telling what this movie is going to look like, but I suspect it’ll be a live-action / CGI hybrid, kind of like The Jungle Book except lighter on the animation.

If a deal is made, this’ll be the third collaboration between Burton and Green, as she also starred in his Dark Shadows movie alongside Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer. Dumbo will also be the latest in a long stream of reboots from Disney: Beauty and the Beast is coming out this year, and the studio is also planning a Cruella de Vil movie, and live-action Aladdin and Mulan as well. Tim Burton directed both live-action Alice in Wonderland movies, the second of which made our Worst of 2016 list, so there’s no telling what Dumbo will look like once he puts his Burton-y spin on it.
