In Shreveport-Bossier we believe heroes are the men and women who put on a uniform every day with one goal, to serve and protect our neighbors and our country.
That’s why on Saturday, July 20, 2013, Harrah’s Louisiana Downs will honor these men and women. You're invite you to bring the whole family.
Our local heroes will be fingerprinting children, teaching important fire and personal safety. Even some super heroes are expected to drop in to visit with the kids. A sports performance course will be set up, so kids can test their skills and endurance. And the Inflatable Zoo of Shreveport will have bouncy houses set up to occupy kids for hours. Best of all, it’s all FREE!
There will be plenty of food and fun. And our local heroes can enjoy the day. Just show your military, law enforcement or emergency personnel card or badge for some free offers.
Men and women will also be honored throughout the day with a number of horse races dedicated to them and their heroic efforts.
