Think Pink- Flip for the Cure- Breast Cancer Awareness Meet
SHREVEPORT-The Centenary women’s basketball team is gearing up for its “Think Pink” game against Summit League travel partner, Oral Roberts.
Tip-off is scheduled for 2 pm on Saturday in the Gold Dome, for the Ladies only game of the weekend.
LAST TIME OUT
Seniors Ashley Jackson and Anne Farrell, along with freshman Kat Vidovic performed well on the Ladies last road weekend.
Jackson and Farrell each recorded a double-double at Southern Utah, while Vidovic led the team in scoring with 29 points on the road over two contests. Unfortunately, the Ladies dropped both contests to League foes, UMKC and Southern Utah. The Ladies fell to 0-22 (0-15 Summit) on the season.
Along with numerous other schools and companies, Centenary and the women’s basketball team is teaming up with WBCA and supporting “Think Pink” week on Saturday.
The WBCA Pink Zone initiative is a global, unified effort for the WBCA’s nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The window set aside for this year’s initiative is February 11-20. The WBCA’s charity of choice is the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
