“Family Guy” Creator To Update “The Flintstones”

Fox announced plans for an updated version of "The Flintstones" from executive producer Seth MacFarlane, premiering in 2013.

Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly announced the new animated series after unveiling Fox's 2011-12 slate for advertising clients.

MacFarlane is the creator of "Family Guy," "American Dad," and "The Cleveland Show."

There were no details on the show, which will join a Fox animation lineup that includes new toons "Napoleon Dynamite" and "Allen Gregory" from Jonah Hill, as well enduring classics like "The Simpsons."
