As you've probably picked up by listening to the show, I'm a big fan of the Twin City Knockers. Maybe it's because they exude girl power. Maybe it's because they give so much back to the community. Maybe it's because I want them to have my back should the need ever arise. Maybe it's because every time I think of roller derby I think of Brett Michael's Rock of Love where his love interests had to compete for his heart while 'derby-ing?' Heck, roller derby is so big, they even tried it on the Bachelor!

Either way, there's something sexy about a derby girl. She's strong, she's determined, she doesn't let anything get in her way... Frankly, she's bad ass!!! And if you're a Twin City Knocker, you have a big heart.

At each of the TCK home bouts they dedicate a portion of their proceeds to a local charity. The says a lot! This Saturday the Knockers are taking on the Northside Fury out of Spring, TX. Get out and support our Twin City Knockers this Saturday night! Don't miss it! Partial Proceeds from this event's ticket sales will go to the VA Hospital Homeless Vet Fund with halftime entertainment provided by the Pistoleros! and some seriously kick ass chicks on skates!

Some other things to note:

$10 in advance, $15 at the door
Kids under 13 free
BYOB (NO GLASS)
Bring a chair- seating is limited

Hear what the girls had to say when they dropped in to talk to me this afternoon!
