While everyone at the D23 expo over the weekend got to see some exciting stuff out of the upcoming MCU films, especially Avengers: Infinity War, we plebeians will have to wait a while to lock eyes on any footage from the next Avengers movie. But, if co-director Joe Russo is to be believed, we can expect Marvel Studios to roll out a teaser for the movie… “soon.”

In keeping with Marvel’s usual policy of “not letting anyone say anything about anything ever, my god, shut your mouths or we’ll disappear you Cold War-style,” Russo was pretty mum on exactly when the rest of us can expect to get a taste of that D23 goodness when he spoke with Good Morning America today. But it sounds like we won’t have to wait too long.

Soon. I’ll say soon. We’re hard at work on a trailer. I don’t wanna spoil it for ’em but, you know, stay tuned and you’re gonna see an Infinity War teaser very soon.

The most logical way of going about this would probably be tacking a teaser onto Thor: Ragnarok screenings when the God of Thunder finally hits theaters again in November. But that’s a while to wait — that’s, like, more than three months! Maybe they’ll cut a short teaser together before releasing a more full-length trailer this fall. The movie isn’t coming out for another ten months, so there’s plenty of room between now and then for any bits of footage Marvel feels like throwing at us.

Avengers: Infinity War stars pretty much everybody and opens May 4, 2018.
