Flexible Football Helmet Looks to Put an End to Concussions [VIDEO]
Concussions in football are finally getting the attention they deserve.
With more and more players getting diagnosed and treated for concussions, it certainly feels as though a safer solution is on the way.
In the 2015 NFL season alone, we saw 199 confirmed concussions.
The folks at Vicis, a Seattle-based firm, look to put an end to concussions altogether. They are doing so in a unique way that might just be crazy enough to work.
They've created a helmet dubbed the Zero1, which has a flexible surface to absorb the hits, kinda like a car bumper. The opposed to the common helmet which has a hard surface and padding inside.
This video is pretty awesome, and shows exactly how the helmet works, and how it will reduce concussions.
