Foo Fighters Splitting?

The Foo Fighters sparked rumors of an impending breakup with some statements made during a concert in New York last weekend. So what's really happening?

Lead Foo Dave Grohl said goodbye to fans during their performance at the Global Citizen Festival in New York's Central Park Saturday, telling the crowd, Without making a big deal out of it, we don't have any shows after this. This is it, man. This is the show where we come out and we play as many songs as we can in a short period of time, because, honestly, I don't know when we're gonna do it again and this is the perfect place to do it, right now, tonight."

But a spokesperson for the band told MTV.com, "They are definitely not breaking up." The band will be taking a short hiatus to work on separate projects.
