Saturday night was an amazing evening with Fox 33 at their Chocolate and Champagne Gala to help Easter Seals!!!

Walking in the door Saturday night at Harrah's Louisiana Downs, you knew there would be both chocolate and champagne in addition to great auction items and entertainment, but the crew at Fox 33 and Easter Seals went above and beyond! The who's who of Shreveport/Bossier were in attendance and ready to party for a great cause because proceeds from the event were going to benefit Easter Seals of Louisiana. The Red River Room looked amazing and the chocolate was decadent. I never knew there were so many ways you could serve it! I was really craving some 2% milk by the time I was half way through the chocolate vendors! The white chocolate fountain was my husband's favorite while the puffed pastries with strawberries and white chocolate drizzle with Grand Mariner ranked high at our table as well! Of course, there were chocolate covered strawberries galore! The ladies from Buttercups went over the top too! Plus, in my humble opinion there was a mousse there that was to die for! We took lots of pictures dressed up in our finery and, of course, we had to buy fabulous items during the silent and live auctions... After all, it was for a great cause! I didn't end up winning anything (BOO!!!) but my brother and sister-in-law, Robby and Jolene Woods, scored a party for 20 at Louisiana Downs and our friends Mark and Karen Baker walked away with an amazing golf getaway during the live auction hosted by Mark Crawford! There were chocolate diamonds, iPads, artwork and more up for grabs in the silent auction and even a fleur de lis fountain from Ellis (which I lost!!! Double BOO!) All in all, it was a lovely evening and I can't wait to do it again next year!
