Fox Cutting ‘American Idol’ Results Show To A Half-Hour

Fox announced Friday that it is cutting back its Thursday "American Idol" results show to a half-hour.

There will be a few hour-long results shows at the beginning of the season, but the cut-back show will begin at an undetermined date.

The new comedy "Surviving Jack", starring former "Law & Order: SVU" star Christopher Meloni, will fill out the rest of the hour.
