Saturday, March 15th, we hope you'll find it in your heart to spend some time at Parkway High School in support of Dana Bailey Coya and her family. Dana is a graduate of Parkway and was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of malignant melanoma.

Thank you to Leslie Cook for letting us know the details so we can pass them on to you!

What: Family Picnic & Fun Day on the Field to Benefit Dana Bailey Coya
When: Sat. March 15 1-3pm
Where: Parkway High School Football Stadium (Preston Crownover Stadium)
4301 Panther Dr Bossier City
Why: Our community is coming together to support one of our own – Parkway High School graduate, Dana Bailey Coya! Whether you knew her on the softball field, as Miss PHS 1995, or as the fun, silly girl who just seemed to brighten your day, many knew her as “friend!” Since graduation, Dana has gone on to become a wife and mother of 4 boys, a teacher, servant leader and missionary.

In January, Dana was diagnosed with a form of malignant melanoma that started externally and has aggressively spread internally. This has brought the Coyas back home to Bossier City for Dana's urgent medical care. While this would be devastating to any family, two of their four boys have also previously been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. So one can imagine the emotional strain this puts on this beautiful young family.

The Coyas have lived as missionaries almost their entire lives together as a family. From Tallahassee, Florida where they met as students (Dana was a Florida State softball standout), they have served as bi-vocational missionaries in Tallahassee, Miami, and most recently, Peru.

Our hope is to raise funds to help meet the financial needs of this challenging season and show our loving support to this incredible family.

How can the community help: There are several opportunities to help…
1. Buy a Jambalaya dinner for $5 from 11-3 on Sat. March 15
2. Buy a Raffle Ticket for $5 for a chance to win one of 40 items with the grand prize being a $1000 gift certificate to Bailey’s Jewelers
