Talk about going in style...

E! News reports that Lady Gaga recruited designer Ken Borochov of the designer label Mordekai to create a 24-carat gold plated wheelchair, which you can see a picture of at GossipCop, for her as she recovers from her recent hip surgery.

Borochov issued a statement which read, "I certainly wasn't expecting that phone call and have never done a wheelchair, but am always up for a challenge and was thrilled to create what I affectionately dubbed the Chariot, a chair fit only for a queen."

And apparently it's functional as well as stylish; along with custom leather seats that resemble a motorcycle jacket and shiny spoke rims, the wheelchair also features a removable canopy (after all, a girl's gotta have shade) and a reclining back.
