Days ahead of the Season 6 finale, Game of Thrones fans don’t yet know how many more episodes lie ahead in Seasons 7 or 8, but that isn’t stopping the cast from cashing in. A new report suggests the bigger Game of Thrones stars are in for a major payday in the final seasons, simultaneously laying to rest theories of which character dies in “The Winds of Winter.”

You’re warned of Game of Thrones Season 6 spoilers (as well advised to take this with a grain of salt), though Deadline reports that all five major stars Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey, Kit Harington and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau have negotiated significant raises for Season 7, and likely 8. Where previous negotiations landed each star $300,000 per episode, the five are now reported to take in $500,000 for each of the series’ remaining hours.

And while Game of Thrones wasn’t likely to put Jon Snow or Daenerys into early graves (in the former’s case, again), the salary bump would seem to cast aside rumors that Cersei (Headey) could meet her end in Season 6 finale “The Winds of Winter.” That said, Deadline does note that said contracts do not guarantee any character’s survival in the final seasons.

In the meantime, Sunday’s Season 6 finale synopsis offers nothing but “Cersei faces her trial,” but how many more episodes might the five end up contracted for? Start your Game of Thrones death watches!
