Geek'd Con 2016 in Downtown Shreveport will have a TON of comic book power. Mostly delivered through the pen of one man. The legendary George Perez.

If you were to create a Mount Rushmore of Comic Book artists (you’d be crazy), you’d probably have to break it into generations. Otherwise you’d drive yourself crazy.

But no matter how you slice it, George Perez is going to be in your conversation.

This man is responsible for the formation of The New Teen Titans, the resurrection of Wonder Woman, he created Lex Luthor’s battlesuit, brought to life the Infinity Gauntlet and Crisis on Infinite Earths, and pitched in on DC’s ‘New 52’.

His career spans decades, and his impact is far reaching. He has been awarded multiple times for his work across many characters and publishers. But most impressively might be the long list of great artists he’s influenced. People like Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane, Ethan Van Sciver, and Alex Ross.

At this point in Perez’s career, he doesn’t need to do convention appearances. But he does them because he loves to meet his fans. He’s still one of the most in-demand comic book artists in the convention world, and his treatment of his fans has a lot to do with that.

It will be such an honor to welcome George Perez to Geek’d Con this year in Downtown Shreveport.
