George Zimmerman Auctioning Off Gun Used To Kill Travon Martin

This entire story is borderline sickening and hard to write.

As I logged onto Twitter this morning, I noticed that George Zimmerman was trending #1 worldwide. When I clicked his name, I was downright shocked to see what he was doing that has garnered so much attention.

Four years ago, George Zimmerman killed 17-year-old Travon Martin in Florida. Truly, no one knows exactly what happened on that fateful day, except for Zimmerman, and all of his actions since his acquittal lead most of us to believe the guy got away with murder.

His latest action is purely ridiculous and I'm sure you'll be disappointed when you read the next line.

Zimmerman is auctioning off the gun he used to kill Travon Martin. As if that headline is not sickening enough, check out the bio from the auction sight written by Zimmerman:

I am honored and humbled to announce the sale of an American firearm icon. The firearm for sale is the firearm that was used to defend my life and end the brutal attack from Trayvon Martin on 2/26/2012

The post even describes the gun as a "piece of American history".

Zimmerman spoke with  WOFL in Orlando and said, "What I've decided to do is not cower," he said. "I'm a free American. I can do what I want with my possessions."

According to the post, proceeds from the gun-sale will be used to fight Black Lives Matter.

The gun auction begins at 11:00 AM today with the bidding starting at $5,000.
