Your dreams have come true, Zac Efron fans!

Disney Channel announced Tuesday that plans are underway for another sequel to its highly successful franchise High School Musical, complete with new Wildcats and their crosstown rivals, the West High Knights.

"High School Musical is part of Disney Channel's DNA," said Disney Channel President Gary Marsh. "It embodies all that we stand for. As a way of continuing to embrace that heritage, we're excited to announce 'the start of something new' as we launch a search for a new class of East High Wildcats to star in a fourth installment of the 'High School Musical' franchise."

Jeffrey Hornaday (Teen Beach Movie, Teen Beach 2) has been tapped to direct and choreograph the latest installment, and Peter Barsocchini will write the script, along with Dan Berendsen (Hannah Montana: The Movie).

There's no word yet as to whether some of the original castmembers, such as Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu or Monique Coleman will appear in this latest installment, but we do know that casting for the new class will begin soon.
