It may be a couple of years down the road, but the end is nigh for HBO's hit Girls.

HBO would neither confirm nor deny the report, but series star Lena Dunham fueled speculation during an interview on Elvis Duran's nationally syndicated radio show.

“I’m not confirming or denying. We’re not committing,” said the actress, adding that the upcoming season, which starts on Feb. 21, will give fans a chance to “see that the girls are heading to… not a conclusion in their life, but this period of their life – that the show is about – is ending.”

She added, “It’s always been important to us that we know and understand when it’s time to wrap it up. It is about a very specific time in life and we don’t want to push past that or overextend it. We’re going to feel it out.”
