Global Power Museum. Possibly the Coolest Museum In The SBC, And It’s Free!
The family and I have had another successful adventure in the SBC! So far, no one's been arrested and/or killed! We've got a perfect record!
This time it was the Global Power Museum located at Barksdale Air Force Base. There are indoor and outdoor exhibits, and both are super cool.

The SR-71 was such a guarded secret when I was growing up, it was a special treat to see one up close.

This son-of-a-gun terrorized millions. Grown American men were trained to deal with this threat. So many sleepless nights, so much worry. There is also a plane in this picture.

It was a great afternoon, and I definitely suggest taking the family. Lots of history, and giant planes - what's not to love!
