"Gravity" shows no signs of slowing down as the 3D space epic holds on to the No. 1 spot in this week's box office with an estimated $44 million in its second week in theaters.

The runner-up, Tom Hanks' "Captain Phillips", took in a better-than-expected $26 million, and "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2" came in third with $14.2 million.
