Grilling Stats For This Memorial Day

Ah yes, one of my favorite holidays is finally here. This weekend, America celebrates Memorial day which means we give thanks to all of those who have served our country, and also, we get a day off of work.

For most Americans, Memorial Day means one thing, time to break out the grill!

PR Newswire released an interesting study about all things grilling, here's what they came up with!

1. 75% of people who own a grill plan to use it this weekend.

The fact that 25% of grill-owners won't break that sucker out this weekend truly disappoints me.

2.  Memorial Day is the second most popular holiday for grilling.

That's right, this holiday may go hand-in-hand with grilling, but it's got nothing on the 4th of July!

3.  39% of people said they prefer cooking with gas and 35% said charcoal.

You guys can have your fancy, yuppy grills. I'll keep making excellent steaks on my George Foreman electric.

4.  30% of grill owners have at least TWO grills. 

If you own two or more grills, I salute you and your dedication to such an amazing American pastime.
