Halo Wars 2: Blitz Beta Reviewed

If you are a big fan of the Halo video game universe, you are not alone.  According to some estimates, the online community for the 5th iteration of the title game (Halo 5) has grown to over a quarter of a million active members.  There were worries when current owners 343 Industries took the reigns from the creators at Bungie, the series would suffer.  At this point I would like to give my full support to the guys and gals at 343.  They have done a tremendous job in not only continuing the Master Chief's legacy, but expanding on the concept in a very cool way.

Halo Wars took the Halo universe and applied the RTS treatment.  RTS stands for Real Time Strategy.  You get a birds-eye-view of the action, and command troops and vehicles from the titular series.  Check it out:

I love this game!  It's layers of strategy and exciting game play.  The card system you use to line up your assets for battlefield deployment is a little strange at first, but you will pick it up soon enough.  If you are a "chess-not-checkers" kind of gamer - you should check it out.  If you are a XBox Live Gold member it is free to download the beta today.  The full game is out February 21st.
