Landry Jo Clark is a two-year-old in Shreveport whose fought quite the battle throughout her childhood.

Cancer is something that unfortunately exist, and it's never good to hear of a friend of family member who is diagnosed with it. It is, though, even more disheartening when the cancer patient is a child.

Back in February, Landry turned two-years-old and was in the middle of a two month battle with Epstein-Barr virus, but things quickly got worse. That virus turned into a lymphoma due to a rare immune deficiency. At just two-years-old, sweet Landry was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Here's a note from Landry's mom.

She underwent 7 rounds of chemo and then relapsed while on treatment. The lymphoma has infiltrated her cranial nerves. Landry’s cancer has proven to be resistant to the standard NHL protocol and St. Jude cannot offer any other treatments for her. A doctor at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, NY offered her a spot in an ongoing clinical trial where they would use programmed specific T-cell therapy to continue to fight for a cure for her. God willing, she gets into remission she then will undergo a bone marrow transplant to cure her immune deficiency.  I believe in the power of prayer and have seen it unfold time & time again! Definitely register your bone marrow, but Landry is lucky enough to have over 1,500 matches that are 10/10! Some children don’t have a single match! Thank you so much for doing this for us and for sharing Landry’s journey! Most of all, thank you for the continued prayers!”

For those who are unaware, September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. I'm hoping you'll help fight for Landry, one of our own, in her battle with cancer. Unlike at St. Jude’s, the family will now be accruing a bill. With a child fighting cancer, the last thing they need to worry about is finances so let’s help them with donations so they can focus Landry’s fight! That's what we do here in Shreveport, we help those in need.

As of today, September 16th, Landry is just $8,000 short of her goal, so let's get her there. If you'd like to donate to Landry's GoFundMe page and read more about her incredible battle, please click here. You can also donate using the widget below.
