Chariot is working on a redevelopment plan for the area.  John Henry, owner of Chariot, says Shreveport is a great place that just needs "new energy and capital".

The plan does call for keeping 9 holes of the golf course. The total pricetag for the project is 240 million dollars. The development is expected to create 1200 temporary construction jobs and 200 permanent jobs.

The 224 acre site would include housing, commercial and recreational uses. The country club was closed 2 years ago after 117 years in operation.
