Of all the people in the world I would expect to be against plagiarism, a high school principal is very high on that list. Today, I am disappointed!

The students & faculty at Roosevelt High School in Roosevelt, NY are also disappointed.

Of course every year, principals write up a nice long memo to students, thanking them for all their hard work that year & sending off the graduates with kind words. This year was no different for Stephen Strachan, the principal at Roosevelt High School.

He wrote a nice multi-paragraphed speech to the entire school in this year's year book. One problem... He copy and pasted the entire thing and forgot to take out the school's name he stole it from!

All was going great for Strachan until the final paragraph that read, "Congratulations to the Albany High School Class of 2013."

Once again, he is principal of Roosevelt High School, and is writing to the Class of 2014.... Ouch.

In fact, if you check out Albany High's year book from last year, principal Ted Barone's message is IDENTICAL to the message written in Roosevelt High's year book. Barone actually says that Strachan reached out and asked if he could quote Barone in his message. However, Barone says he never gave permission to use his message verbatim.
