‘Hobbit’ Destroys Box Office Competition
Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug" easily topped this weekend's box office with an estimated $73.6 million in its first week of release.
Last week's No. 1, "Frozen", fell to second place with $22.1 million, and "Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas" debuted in third place with $16 million.
