In a major upset, "Homeland" beat out "Mad Men" for Best Drama in Sunday's Emmy Awards. This could have been "Mad Men"'s fifth win for Best Drama, breaking a record. In fact, the AMC series was shut out of every category it was nominated in.

"Homeland" stars Claire Danes and Damian Lewis won for Best Actress and Actor in a Drama, respectively, and the series also won for Best Writing in the drama category.

"Modern Family" won yet again for Outstanding Comedy Series, while cast members Eric Stonestreet and Julie Bowen scored two more awards for Outstanding Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series.

"Two and a Half Men"'s Jon Cryer took home Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus won Best Actress for "Veep".
