More than 17 million cars in the U.S. and more than 24 million cars worldwide are involved in Takata airbag recalls.

More cars have now been added to the list. The latest recall directive comes from Honda. Problems with the airbags have occurred as far back as two years ago and as recently as April 21. Find out if your vehicle is on the list.

Takata has "dramatically increased production of airbag replacement kits in support of automotive recalls and safety campaigns," a move that should reassure consumers waiting for replacement parts.  There has been a big problem. Nearly 90 percent of cars with defective Takata airbags are still not repaired.
