I have been sitting on the thought of opening my own Etsy shop for a while now, and I finally have the time and the ability to make it happen.

Apparently, there is a lot that goes into making an Etsy shop that I didn't realize.

According to the Etsy instructional and tip page for sellers, they gave 7 tips to help make their shop successful.

1. Gather Essentials
2. Choose a Name
3. Set Specific and Attainable Goals
4. Consider Keywords
5. Take Captivating Product Photos
6. Think Like a Brick-and-Mortar Store
7.  If you don’t start somewhere, you’ll never get anywhere.

I know what I am going to sell, so that is taken care of. The hardest part for me right now is finding a name for the shop. Ginger Stitches is cute, but I am just not feeling it.

I plan on selling pop culture inspired and silly (some sassy) cross stitches.

Those are just a few, but I have to make several more before I can get them up for sale. If you are wanting to open your own shop you can find information here.
