Idol Has A Back Up Plan!

Jennifer Lopez just can’t make up her mind about whether she will be returning to Idol next season. But Idol isn’t just waiting around for her answer.

Everyone thought that Jennifer would fill the void after Simon Cowell left, but it was Steven Tyler who stole the show, and he has already signed on for Season 11. If American Idol can go on without Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell, it can still be successful without Jennifer.

Jennifer earned $12 million for her one-year deal with ‘Idol’ but they are wondering how much her contribution to the show is actually worth. She got some credit for the show not bombing despite all the judging changes, but the ratings didn’t increase either.

According to Popeater, the executives are already throwing around some possible replacements for next season. They think possibly bringing in Shania Twain or Shakira could really help the ratings.
