I think a good chunk of my Powerball winnings would go to this if it was guaranteed to stay off.

It seems like everyone wants to lose weight this year. Even Oprah is doing commercials for Weight Watchers saying that this year is the year of her best body. I'm willing to bet if you took a quick survey of the people around you right now, asking them how much weight they would like to lose they would say 15 pounds. That seems to be the standard, stubborn number that doesn't go away. The magical number that would make all of our problems of insecurity and health issues go away.

Whitworth's did a survey and asked people how much money they would spend to lose those 15 pounds instantly. The average is $650.

It seems fitting because you're not guaranteed it will stay off. If you could drop 15 pounds and then stay at that weight no matter what, I'm sure that number would skyrocket. Maybe as high as the Powerball itself.

The survey asked a few more questions and came up with these results...

1. 22% would give up alcohol for the rest of the year if they could drop 15 pounds immediately. Although, I'm sure giving up all those extra carbs and sugar WOULD make you drop 15 pounds.

2. 22% of people are pretty sure their diet will be over by the end of the month. So much for "2016: The Year of My Best Body"

3. The toughest day of the week to stick to a diet is Saturday. Couch + Takeout + Recorded Shows = Sayonara Diet!

4. The number one reason people end a diet is because they get bored with it. This is an easy fix!

5. 8% of people have decided to lose weight because of a picture someone posted of them on social media. Been there, done that.
