Illinois News Anchor Tells Viewers He’s Got Only Months To Live (VIDEO)

Dave Benton, an anchorman at WCIA-TV in Champaign, IL, won the support of thousands when he announced Thursday that his brain cancer has returned and that he faces an uncertain prognosis.

"My cancer is back and it's too big for surgery and radiation," said Benton. "Doctors have told me I may only have four to six months to live."

Benton, a self-described "born-again Christian", says although he will pursue treatment that should slow the cancer's growth, he is focused on savoring whatever time he has left, telling his audience, "The goal is to have a few more days and make them the best that they can be in the life that I have."
