Is This Tom Hanks’ Audition Tape for ‘Forrest Gump’? [VIDEO]

The video of Tom Hanks auditioning and screen testing for his role as Forrest Gump has surfaced online and something distinct is clearly missing.

In the clips you can see Tom Hanks do some scenes with Robin Wright and Haley Joel Osment.

You'll notice that the Southern accent Gump is known for in the film is not present. Could it be that filmmakers didn't intend for him to have the accent?

It's unclear if this is his actual audition or if this is just a few screen tests before actual filming began.
