‘It’s Not a Bad Thing’ Justin Timberlake Is Our Man Crush Monday

What's not to like about Justin Timberlake? He can sing, he can act, and he's totally hilarious. Crushing on JT is as easy as breathing.

On January 31, 1981, Justin Randall Timberlake was born in Memphis, Tennessee. Timberlake first made his television appearance on the popular reality talent show, "Star Search" at the age of 11. The following year he landed a spot on "The Mickey Mouse Club" with some of today's biggest stars like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, JC Chasez and Ryan Gosling.

'N Sync

Timberlake and Chasez formed the boy band 'N Sync in 1995, shortly after their time at "The Mickey Mouse Club", and began their career in Europe in 1996. It wasn't until 1998 that the group gained prominence in the United States.

The group's debut album *NSYNC, featured the smash hit "Tearin' Up My Heart." Their second album, No Strings Attached, included a number one single, "It's Gonna Be Me." They followed it up with a third successful album, Celebrity. After four years, 'N Sync went into a hiatus in 2002.

Solo

In 2002, Timberlake debuted his first solo single, "Like I Love You" off of his debut solo album, Justified. Also on the album were songs like "Cry Me a River" and "Rock Your Body." He toured with fellow Mouseketeer, Christina Aguilera in 2003 to promote his album. Somewhere in the midst of launching his solo career, he found time to record "I'm Lovin' It" for McDonald's, stalking his bank account with a cool $6 million.

After performing in the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show, Timberlake took some time off from music to focus on acting. In 2006, he released FutureSex/LoveSounds with songs like "SexyBack", "My Love", "What Goes Around... Comes Around", and "Summer Love/Set the Mood Prelude." He then took another break to do more acting.

Timberlake has also collaborated with dozens of artists, like Timbaland, Nelly Furtado, Madonna, The Black Eyed Peas, Snoop Dogg, T.I., Ciara and more. In March 2013, he released his third album, The 20/20 Experience, with songs like "Suit & Tie", "Take Back the Night", and "It's Not a Bad Thing." The album debuted at number one on the charts.

Acting

The multifaceted Timberlake has also done his share of acting gigs. His first role was in the Disney Channel movie Model Behavior in 1999. He was also in films like Edison Force, Alpha Dog, Black Snake Moan, and did voice work for Shrek the Third around the year 2004.

Around the year 2008, he landed starring roles in The Love Guru, The Open Road and My Problem with Women. Following the year 2010, Timberlake's acting career was on the rise. He landed roles in The Social Network, Bad Teacher, Friends with Benefits, and In Time. He was also regularly working with the The Lonely Island from "Saturday Night Live."

Personal Life

Timberlake is currently married to Jessica Biel. The two began dating in 2007 and became engaged in 2011, when he proposed in the mountains of Montana. Timberlake and Biel married on October 19, 2012 in Italy.

In the past Timberlake has been linked to Britney Spears, whom he dated from 1999-2002. He then pursued a relationship with Cameron Diaz the following year. That relationship lasted until 2006. It was rumored he had also dated Scarlett Johansson.

Timberlake is also known for his philanthropic work with several charities. He founded two organizations, 'N Sync's "Challenge for the Children" and the "Justin Timberlake Foundatin." In addition he has worked with Wildlife Warriors, the Memphis Music Foundation, and the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
