James Corden To Host 2016 Tony Awards
Late Late Show host James Corden just picked up a new gig: he's been signed to host the 2016 Tony Awards.
"I'm absolutely thrilled to be hosting the Tony Awards," Corden said in a statement. "Both times I've worked on Broadway have been amongst the happiest times of my professional life. I consider it to be a huge honor to be asked to host such an incredible night. It's going to be fun; I can't wait to dust off my tap shoes!"
Corden himself has won a Tony for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play for his role in One Man, Two Guvnors.
The Tony Awards will air live from the Beacon Theater in New York City June 12 on CBS.
