Friday the 13th was my favorite slasher movie growing up. I started watching scary movies at a young age, and got into slasher movies when I was in my preteens. To me, Jason Voorhees is just misunderstood.

If you don't know Jason Voorhees. He made his first debut in 1980 when the first Friday the 13th made its way to theaters. It follows Jason's backstory of him at Camp Crystal Lake drowning when his counselors weren't paying attention. According to Geoff Herbert of Syracuse, the Friday the 13th started as a revenge film and then evolved into a franchise about a silent serial killer wearing a hockey goalie mask.

See, he is just misunderstood. He is upset. He is angry at the camp counselors, and wants answers for why he was overlooked when he needed help. I get it. I bet deep down He is a cool guy.
