This month has been full of JAY-Z news, and we're not mad at it.

Jay is very particular and continuously makes strategic moves and Hov is now making a change to the styling of his name. The Brooklyn rapper formerly known as "Jay-Z" and "Jay Z" is now "JAY-Z."

According to Pitchfork, a Roc Nation rep emphasized the fact that each letter in the rapper’s name is capitalized. Jay initially dropped the hyphen back in 2013.

Not only has this month come with confirmation of a slight name change for JAY-Z, it's also come with exciting news of a new album, 4:44, set to drop June 30 and the welcoming of wife Beyonce and his twin babies.

The album will be released exclusively to Tidal and Sprint users on June 30th. Fans were all anxiously surprised after the title of the album began popping up all over New York City earlier this month. The entire project is rumored to be entirely produced by No I.D..

There's no information released as of yet about the track list or who will be featured on the album. But JAY-Z did tweet a list of 50 rap artists who have inspired him over the years, including a few new rappers. We can only hope some of his inspirations collaborated with him on the forthcoming album.

The world rejoices as the hyphen returns. Check out Jay's Twitter salute to hip-hop legends below.
