Jenny McCarthy Joins ‘The View’

"View" host Barbara Walters announced on Monday's show that former Playboy Playmate Jenny McCarthy will be joining the panel this fall.

McCarthy issued a statement saying, "I'm beyond thrilled to be joining Barbara and the other amazing women at the table."

McCarthy, who has guest-hosted the show eight times, brings her own controversy after making statements connecting vaccinations with autism in children.

"The View" will return for its 17th season September 9, but without longtime panelists Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who will be joining "Fox and Friends" replacing Gretchen Carlson, and Joy Behar.
