E! News reports that the Jonas Brothers have canceled their upcoming tour two days before it was to start due to what their rep calls "a deep rift within the band".

The rep added, "There was a big disagreement over their music direction."

Joe Jonas addressed rumors of a rift during an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel , during which he said, "There are days that are tough. You try to relive what what we used to be, but you have to remind yourself that it's a different music. It's a different vibe. We are our own bosses these days and have to build our own relationships and businesses and continue to craft our sound, and not just be a band that plays to a certain market."

All seemed well when the Jonases performed on stage at We Day Minnesota Tuesday, but, according to a source, backstage told a different tale, as Joe had dinner with his dad, while his brothers Nick and Kevin dined at a separate table. "You could tell something was not right between them," the source told E! News. "They didn't have the same energy they normally have."

However, another source told E! that the differences between the brothers are musical, not personal. "They are brothers and that will never change. This isn't about personal issues.  The guys recorded a lot of music and there was broad disagreement within the group about what direction to take with the music."
