Yeah, right!

Justin Bieber announced via his Twitter page Tuesday night that he's taking some time off from performing, posting, "My beloved beliebers I'm officially retiring."

He went on to say, "The media talks a lot about me. They make a up a lot of lies and want me to fail but I'm never leaving you, being a belieber is a lifestyle."

He concluded, "Be kind loving to each other, forgive each other as god forgave us through Christ Merry Christmas IM HERE FOREVER."

Last week, during an interview with Los Angeles radio station Power 106, Bieber announced his future plans by saying, "Um, I'm actually retiring, man."

His rep had no comment, but a source told E! News "of course it's not true."

Manager Scooter Braun says he wanted Bieber to take a year off from performing after the release of his movie "Believe", telling Ryan Seacrest, "I'm telling him after this movie, I want him to take next year off and just take a break. He can still live in the studio and work on the next album, which is what he wants to do, but I just want him to take some time to himself, so he can have that time alone cause he's been working since he was 12 years old."

Do you think this is what he was referring to when he said "retirement"?
