Justin Bieber Discusses Emotional Response to VMA Performance with Jimmy Fallon

Justin Bieber appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Wednesday to chat about his upcoming album, which comes out November 13. Of course, Jimmy had to ask why her got so emotional after his performance at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday.

"It was just so overwhelming for me, everything. Just the performance. I missed some cues, so I was a little disappointed," Bieber said. He also recalled his last performance at an award show, "I just wasn't expecting them to support me in the way they did. The last time I was at an awards show I was booed."

In addition, Bieber talked about how had he has worked in between albums. He talked about the pressure of coming back to music after so many highly publicized run-ins with the law.

"So I was just feeling judged and wanting to win so badly and just wanting to do what I love so badly that I just put everything on the line," he adds.

Later in the show, Bieber performed the new song from his upcoming album, "Where Are You Now."
