Towkio is definitely on Kanye West's radar now. The Chicago rapper shared a text message he got from the legendary Rick Rubin, who played an unreleased Towkio song called "Swim" for 'Ye.

"I played swim for Kanye yesterday," Rubin wrote. "He Loved it."

Towkio was understandably excited to hear about the praise. Former Vampire Weekend member Rostam Batmanglij also praised the song after Rubin played it.

This small glimpse at Kanye's studio life comes on the heels of news that the "Good Life" rapper will be more involved in the upcoming season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. A source told People that Kanye will allow more filming of himself to support his wife, Kim Kardashian West.

“Kanye is really trying to please Kim," the source said. "He realizes that his difficult behavior has been extremely draining for her. He is trying to make it up to Kim by going along with things that are important to her. The show is still important to Kim, so Kanye will support her."

While Kanye might be popping up on television more often, he will not be making an appearance at the 2017 Grammy Awards. Yeezy plans to skip the festivities despite being nominated for eight awards.

“Let’s put it this way. He’s received 21 Grammys, but when he was head-to-head against a white singer, he never won," a source told TMZ the reasoning behind the decision.

'Ye is not the only big artist skipping out on this year's Grammy ceremony. Drake, Frank Ocean and Justin Bieber have also decided to skip the event.
