NBC announced Wednesday that "Scandal" star Kerry Washington will host "Saturday Night Live" Nov. 2.

Eminem will appear as musical guest for the sixth time on the program, just before his new album, "The Marshall Mathers LP", drops Nov. 5.

Interesting timing when you consider that TVGuide.com spoke to castmember Kenan Thompson about the lack of a black female presence on the show, to which he replied that there just aren't that many qualified black female comics out there.

"It's just a tough part of the business," said Thompson. "Like in auditions, they just never find ones that are ready."

Let's just hope that Kerry can pull off a decent Michelle Obama...
