In an interview with the L.A. Times, Lana Del Rey not only shared her thoughts on her title track to Tim Burton’s latest film, ‘Big Eyes,’ but she also revealed sparse details about a brand new song, ‘Music to Watch Boys To.’

“I can see it and I can hear it,” Del Rey says about writing her own music as opposed to songs for a soundtrack. “I’m working on a new record now, and I have this one song, ‘Music to Watch Boys To.’ The title lends itself to a visual of shadows of men passing by, this girl’s eyes, her face. I can definitely see things.”

When it comes to ‘Big Eyes,’ Del Rey and Burton ended up being perfect for each other. “I am a huge [Tim Burton] fan,” she tells the Times. “Sad is happy to me. I love it. When I write something bittersweet, I smile. That’s why I like Tim Burton. His world has that kind of foundation, too.”

She also chats about her Golden Globe nomination and some of her favorite film scores. You can read the full interview here.
