Lauren Alaina Loses Her Voice [VIDEO]

Lauren Alaina almost had to pull out of the American Idol finale completely after losing her voice. A doctor came on stage at the beginning of the show and revealed that she had blown out her vocal cords. It turns out that Lauren couldn’t even finish her rehearsal and the doctor froze her throat to try and save what she had left. The producers had Haley Reinhart on standby and ready to replace Lauren to go head to head against Scotty. Since Haley didn’t have songs prepared, she was going to sing "House of the Rising Sun," "I Who Have Nothing" and "Bennie and the Jets."
