Lea Michele Says Boyfriend Matthew Paetz Dumped Her ‘Without Warning’

A report in In Touch magazine claims that Matthew Paetz, boyfriend of Glee star Lea Michele, allegedly dumped her "all of a sudden and without warning."

An insider tells E! News that Paetz, a life coach, cut off all communication with Michele and all the members of her inner circle.

"She got no reason or explanation for the split," says the source. "She was also very supportive of him even when her friends were skeptical of him because of his past. Lea wanted to believe in love and wanted to believe the good in him. She didn't think he should be punished for his past."

In Touch reports that Michele is leaning on a strong support system and is keeping herself busy in the wake of the breakup. An insider tells In Touch that "He ended up being an opportunist who took advantage and broke up with her in a very heartless way. Her friends were always concerned with the relationship because of his past. All of those fears were validated."

But a source for Paetz claims, "They've been hot and cold for some time now — one day fighting and the next madly in love. Friends believe that Lea's success came between the two and Matthew began to resent Lea.”

"The two just stopped working. [He] wanted to get out of town for a bit to clear his head,” adds the insider.
