Less Turkey, More Parrot – Free Tropical Party Saturday, November 30th In The Red River District

When my buddy Angie Costakis sends me an email, I open it... especially when it's about a party! She's always a good time, that's why I know this Saturday's Free Tropical Party in the Red River District will be big fun!

Here's everything you need to know:

Prepare to shake-off your Thanksgiving food coma with some post-Turkey Day tropical fun. LESS TURKEY - MORE PARROT is a free party and concert on Saturday, November 30 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in downtown Shreveport’s Red River District. This event is free to the public and open to all ages.

Performing live throughout the event is Matt Hoggatt, an award winning singer/songwriter from the Mississippi Gulf Coast who was discovered by Jimmy Buffett after winning a song contest in American Songwriter Magazine with his song entitled, “Dear Jimmy Buffett.” Hoggatt has recently released a live album on Buffett’s Mailboat Records and is touring the country promoting his album.

Nicky’s Mexican Restaurant will have food for sale along with drink specials. Fatty Arbuckle’s will also have drink specials. Guests 21 years and older can get a wristband, purchase adult beverages from Nicky’s and Fatty’s, and enjoy them in the Red River District.
