‘Saved by the Bell’ is making a TV comeback! Well, sort of — but don’t worry, this is even juicier than the original.

The popular coming-of-age sitcom has been off the air since 1993 (1994 if we’re counting the less popular ‘College Years’), but Lifetime is reviving the cherished series for a behind-the-scenes, tell-all movie, ‘The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story,’ set to hit television this fall.

According to BuzzFeed, the show’s original casting director, Robin Lippin, has selected six new actors to portray our old friends Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater), Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zach Morris), Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano), Tiffani Thiessen (Kelly Kapowski), Lark Voorhies (Lisa Turtle) and Dustin Diamond (Screech Powers).

The new cast members will act out the tell-all secrets that will apparently reveal what really went down at Bayside High. Diamond gave away a little bit of the shocking details in his 2009 book ‘Behind the Bell,’ but apparently Lifetime got their hands on hours of new interviews that will divulge all of the TV show’s dirty secrets. If it’s anything along the lines of Diamond’s memoir, there are a lot of drug and sex scandals heading our way.

So far none of the old ‘Saved by the Bell’ stars have spoken up about their thoughts on the TV movie, but there’s still plenty of time to gauge their reactions. The tell-all will air on Sept. 1 at 9PM ET on Lifetime.
