Local Child Needs Your Help To Get Her Seizure Assistance Dog
Meet Addie Rose.
Addie is a beautiful toddler here in the ArkLaTex who needs your help! She lives with epilepsy and unfortunately suffers through several seizures every single day.
I was lucky enough to meet Addie last week and she was one of the sweetest girls I've ever met. I truly hate that she goes through this on a daily basis, and I'm more than happy to spread the word about an incredible event coming up!
On March 8th, join us (and wear purple for epilepsy awareness) at Hot Wheels Skating Palace in Bossier! The event will begin at 5:30 and last two hours. Tickets are just $5.00 and all proceeds go towards Addie's family so they can buy her a seizure assistance dog!
So what will this dog do for Addie? With the frequency of Addie's seizures, averaging over 10 per day, the dog will be trained in many areas to help Addie every single day. He will break Addie's falls and remove her from danger during her seizures. He will calm her down after the seizure. He will be trained to get any rescue medications and keep her from wandering away from us in public. He will also be trained in water rescue among many other things. Most of all, he will give her the confidence she needs as she gets older to be more independent and give her family peace of mind throughout the day and night.
