Lorde, one of the night's biggest winners, unleashed the very first primetime performance of her new single 'Tennis Court' at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards tonight. The 17-year-old singer brought her signature arm movements -- and trademark vocals -- to the number, donning a wide-brimmed black hat and all-black ensemble (sans feathers) for the performance.

While it's hard not to notice the jerky hand movements she has since become famous for in concert, Lorde's distinct, smoky voice was the real star on 'Tennis Court,' a fan favorite from her debut album, 'Pure Heroine.' Though the tune isn't belted, we love the chill vibe of the song and how it's so distinctly Lorde -- a sound so different than other voices in pop music. Oh, and we can't forget that while we're always a fan of her traditional wavy locks, we have to say that we love the sleek, straight look she rocked tonight. Always fun to mix it up a little.
